January to May of 2009: We had finally paid off all our debt at the end of 2008 and started saving in 2009 for a down payment for our house. Chelsea finished her 2nd year at Webb teaching 1st grade. Cody started his 2nd year of seminary at Southwestern and continued working full time for UPS.
The church we had attended through college, Living Hope felt called to start two new churches in our area. We were led to help plant the new College Station church, New Life. We officially started in March. God has poured out many blessings through this process but there as also been many growth pains. All in all we have seen the sovereignty and majesty of our great God.
We started looking for houses in May and found our house in June.
June: Chelsea went with her family on vacation to MoRanch.

July: We closed on our 1st house July 15! This is a picture when we first moved in.
This was the start of many projects, mainly for Cody. :) He has torn down the wall in the front of our house, landscaped the courtyard, painted and organized the garage, painted the front of the house, installed new fixtures/lights outside, built a fire pit in the backyard, among many other things. We also got new couches and a new kitchen table.
August: Cody started school again and I began my 3rd year teaching. My class is really precious this year and I am so thankful to have the same 18 children up until this point. Last year was a very transitional class and made it hard in so many ways.
September: Cody's sister, Ami, married Jacob on September 19th.

October: We found out we were pregnant but I had a miscarriage around Halloween. This was a challenging time for both of us but we were confident in the Lord's faithfulness for our family.

November: We spent Thanksgiving at the Kramers farm with the Hendricks for the 2nd year. With Cody's job it is hard to travel for the holidays so it is awesome to have friends that are truly like family.
We also found out around Thanksgiving that were PREGNANT again!! :) I am due August 3. Miranda made this cute little onesie for us for Christmas.
December: Cody started redoing our kitchen. He is still in the process and will hopefully be starting to paint in the near future!
Here is a current picture of the outside of our house. We hope to sod the front yard by the wall in the Spring.
We also celebrated our 4th anniversary. Cody had to work late that night but he bought me these beautiful flowers and we went and had dessert and coffee at Christophers.
We hope you have a Happy New Year.
We are excited about whats to come in 2010!
